The usual fix is to clear the cache of Wallpaper services and Wallpaper and style under Settings, then Apps, and, if that is not enough, to turn off Samsung’s own rotating wallpaper features such as Dynamic Lock screen.

What “Wallpaper services” actually is
On a Galaxy phone, “Wallpaper services” is a system app that handles Samsung’s own wallpaper features: Dynamic Lock screen (the rotating image packs), Samsung Global Goals wallpapers, and the plumbing that lets Wallpaper and style hand off to those features. It is separate from the Android wallpaper engine that draws live wallpapers, and separate from any wallpaper app you installed.
That matters because the error message makes people assume a third-party app is at fault. Usually it is not. The crash typically appears after a One UI update, when the cached data that Wallpaper services keeps no longer matches the new version, or when one of Samsung’s rotating wallpaper features has ended up in a bad state.
Fix 1: clear the cache of the two system apps
This resolves most cases and does not remove your wallpaper.
- Open Settings, then Apps.
- Tap the sort or filter icon at the top right and turn on Show system apps.
- Find Wallpaper services. Tap it, then Storage, then Clear cache.
- Go back and do the same for Wallpaper and style.

Fix 2: turn off the rotating wallpaper features
If the crash keeps coming back, the trigger is often one of Samsung’s own wallpaper services rather than the cache.
- Open Settings, then Wallpaper and style.
- Tap Change wallpapers.

- Choose None.
