Terms of use
The short version, in full.
TimeBorn is a small utility. These terms are correspondingly small. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
Last updated: 6 September 2026
1. The app
TimeBorn ("the app", published on Google Play as com.appynox.timeborn) is published by Appynox ("we", "us"). It displays your age as a continuously counting decimal number, as a home-screen widget and as a live wallpaper on Android devices. It is free, shows no ads, offers no in-app purchases, and needs no account.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, subject to these terms and to the Google Play terms under which you obtained it. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except where the law expressly allows it.
3. Your content
Any wallpaper image you choose stays yours. The app keeps a private copy on your device solely to draw the wallpaper; we never receive it. You are responsible for having the right to use any image you pick.
4. Accuracy
The counter is arithmetic, not a legal record. It uses a mean Gregorian year of 365.2425 days and the birth date you entered. It is intended for interest and decoration, not for any purpose where an exact age matters.
5. Battery and device behaviour
Higher decimal precision redraws more often and uses more battery, particularly for the live wallpaper. You choose the precision; the app describes the trade-off where you set it. The widget relies on Android's scheduled refreshes, which the system may batch or throttle to save power; on Android 12 and later it refreshes at the interval the system allows, not on an exact schedule.
6. No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which, as the app is free with no purchases, is nothing.
8. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which also deletes all the data it holds on your device. If you use Android backup, a copy of your settings may remain in your own Google account under Google's terms; we never hold one. We may withdraw the app from distribution at our discretion.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of Nepal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
